Teen Becomes First Aussie F1 Academy Driver
Victorian Aiva Anagnostiadis has joined iconic brand Tag Heuer as they enter the female driving academy series
17-year-old Aiva Anagnostiadis has been announced as a driver for Tag Heuer’s entry into the F1 Academy female driving series.
2025 marks the first year an Australian female has ever been selected for the F1 Academy grid.
F1 Academy is a game-changer—more than just a championship, it’s a real pathway helping female drivers progress into F3, F2, and beyond.
Aiva is currently racing with Hitech Grand Prix Limited, one of the best teams in junior formula racing.
She’s teaming up with TAG Heuer—an iconic brand with a rich history in motorsport and a focus on precision, performance, and pushing the limits.
Aiva began karting at just six years old, inspired by her mother’s passion for the sport. Having achieved notable victories in Australia and representing her country at the World Motorsport Games, she now aims to become the first Australian female driver in Formula 1.
Aiva’s impressive career highlights include success in the Indian F4 Series, a testing program with Rodin and Argenti Motorsport, and multiple podium finishes in Australian karting championships.
Aiva’s ambition and talent make her one of the most exciting prospects in motorsport today. The “TAG Heuer operated by Hitech” car – which will be driven by Aiva - and the race suit, will sport the brand’s iconic red, white, and black colors, symbolizing the precision and heritage for which the brand is known. The cover of the car will also be adorned with the phrase ‘It's not a man's world anymore’, representing the brand’s commitment to championing and empowering female talent.
“We are proud to welcome TAG Heuer as Official Partner and the first Official Timekeeper for F1 ACADEMY from 2025. This partnership reflects a joint commitment to empower female talent and adesire to accelerate change in our sport - it’s most certainly not just a man’s world anymore.” said Susie Wolff, Managing Director of F1 Academy.
Well done Aiva and hats off to TAG Heuer and Hitech for actively supporting young talent and helping break down traditional barriers and stereotypes.
