Hockey One 2025 Fixture Released
The Australian league will get underway with a grand final rematch.

The 2025 Hockey One season will get underway with a rematch of last season’s grand final between Brisbane Blaze and Perth Thundersticks, after the fixture was released today.
Starting on Friday October 10, the season will run for seven rounds before a finals series at a yet to be confirmed location.
While most teams will host their home matches at one venue, NSW Pride will once again take their games around the state after the success of last year, with Newcastle, Goulburn and Macarthur (Narellan) to host a game each.
With the national high performance program featuring the Hockeyroos is based in Western Australia, those players may not feature in all games, opening the door for young and emerging talent to show off their talent at the start of a new Olympic cycle.
The recent emergence of an Indian Premier League for women has seen leagues competing for international talent like never before. But a couple of Australia’s star players believe Hockey One’s reputation as a leading domestic league will see international stars continue to return to Australia.
Hockeyroos co-captain Grace Stewart and goalkeeper Jocelyn Bartram, who both played in the Indian League over the Australian summer, shared with HER WAY recently that their conversations with a number of the Indian and other international players about the Hockey One league were positive, and that of them many saw it as a league they wanted to play in.
We will see in coming months just which of those international players do make the trip to Australia, with many players likely to use domestic leagues as opportunities to secure spots at next year’s World Cup.
