Basketball Australia are announcing a 12-player Gems team that will compete at the FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup in Czechia from 12 – 20 July 2025.
The team will be led by Head Coach Renae Garlepp with Jo Wood & Jack Fleming in support. Injuries have ruled out a couple some young guns, including Saffron Shiels and Stanford-bound Lara Somfai, who were both members of the All-Star five at last year’s U18 Asian Cup.
Australia’s campaign starts in the Group Phase with fixtures against Mali (12 July), Brazil (13 July) & France (16 July).
